RFLX Sport Wrestling

RFLX Wrestling Club

Scholastic and Olympic styles are the staple of the sport wrestling program here at RFLX Training Center. Often referred to as “folkstyle” for scholastic and “freestyle” or “Greco” for Olympic, these forms of wrestling are the most common in the US. The uniform is the singlet and the goal of each competitor is to win by points or pinning. Athletes are awarded points for executing techniques like takedowns, reversals, near falls, or escapes. A pin is completed and the match won if an athlete can hold his opponents shoulder blades flat on the mat for 3 consecutive seconds, a task that is easier said than done.
